Rearing good queen bees is an art developed by years of experience.

Queen bees are the foundation of good honey quality and yield. A good queen lasts three to five years and produces over 2000 eggs aday during season. It’s easy to see the importance of thequeen in the colony. For example, bees in each hive know their queen. This can be observed with bees stationed asguards at the hive’s entrance. They constantly swarm and protect her.
